Athletics - See updates on our Athletics Page
We are incredibly fortunate as a school to have a robust Learning Interventions team to support student learning at our school. This team has one focus: to ensure that learning is accessible for all Riverside students. Sometimes that looks like professional learning for staff; at others, it looks like working directly with smaller groups of students to help fill in gaps that exist. But to start the school year, they've had a huge task – to complete a variety of screening assessments for Literacy and Mathematics for all students from Grade 1-9, to provide teachers with valuable data that we've begun to use to make sure all students can get 'just right' instruction and tasks. This work is fairly new to us, but it's a big focus for us this year.
On a separate note, it's been wonderful seeing so many of our students proudly wearing their "Ravens Athletics" shirts. These expressions of community can be seen everywhere in our school, and I have been so pleased to see another example.
