This time of year is one of reflection for Ms. Coghlan and I, along with our broader leadership team. We're spending time looking back at last year's results, particularly with respect to our Learning Excellence and Wellbeing goals. We've also been reviewing the data obtained through Grade 6 and 9 Provincial Achievement Test (PAT) administration, along with the literacy and numeracy screening assessments Grades 1-5 Riverside students completed in September and early October.
I'll be sharing updates to our School Development Plan in early November, along with our School Improvement Results Report. If you have a child who is currently in GRade 7 at Riverside, you'll be receiving a report detailing your child's achievement on the PATs they wrote last spring. And if you have a child in Grades 1 through 5, you'll be receiving a report next week outlining their areas of strength and need with respect to literacy and numeracy assessments discussed above.
As always, if you have any questions regarding the information shared, please reach out – as partners in public education, we are here to help!
