What a wonderful celebration of problem-solving, teamwork, and ingenuity we had at Riverside today! Our revamped and renewed Kid Inventor Day was a big success. Riverside students go above and beyond in all their work each and every day. I am grateful for the hard work of the planning committee: Ms. Copot, Ms. Beechey, and Ms. Berg for the heavy lifting of planning and organizing an event while also getting report cards finalized. Thank you also to the Riverside School Council and Parent Society for their support, including the yummy popsicles our inventors got to enjoy today. Our next major celebration at Riverside School is Science Olympics, which will take place on Wednesday, February 14.  

 

I did have a conversation with a community member who asked for me to advocate for safe and aware driving during pick-up and drop-off times, even well away from the school. Thank you all for doing your part to ensure Riverside students can begin and end their school days safely!

Our January meeting takes place tomorrow evening at 7:00 in the Learning Commons. I’m looking forward to seeing as many parents as possible as I will be sharing some important information regarding our School Development Plan for this year.
