I would like to formally invite all parents, guardians and family members who might be interested to join us for our Remembrance Day assemblies, being held in our main Gym tomorrow, November 7. Our K-5 students will have their assembly beginning at 10:15 while Grade 6-9 students will have theirs beginning at 12:30. I am always so impressed with the work students and staff put into this observance! You are welcome to drop by if you wish; no RSVP is needed.
If we do not see you in the school tomorrow, I would like to wish you all a tremendous and restful Fall Break, wherever it may take you. Students and staff have been working hard; this break can certainly be described as ‘well-earned’!

From School Council re: upcoming silent auction fundraiser
Please see the following message from our School Council:
“Hi families! In just under a week, we've had tremendous support for our online auction! If you haven't checked it out yet, please visit the link posted below. We are nearing our goal, but why stop there? Let's shoot for the stars and keep the bidding going. With just under $10,000 worth of donated items in this auction, we have something for everyone!

Battery Recycling program – student initiative
Would you like to conveniently get rid of your old, dead batteries? Have your child bring them to Riverside! They’re not something that can go in a blue bin. Thanks to the grade threes, each class now has a battery recycling bag and students can bring in any type of batteries. We’ll keep them out of the landfill and make sure they get recycled.
2024-25 Yearbook purchasing update
School yearbooks are now available for advance purchase. They are delivered to students in June, but we need to know how many to print, so we sell them early. This year the K-9 hardcover colour book will be even bigger than before! There’s an Early Bird price of $32 until November 25, then the price goes up to $35. Last year we had many disappointed families, because we ran out. Please order on:
