We are all looking forward to having students along with their parents and guardians into the school tomorrow evening and on Friday. Spending time connecting about our wonderful students is always time well-spent. Teachers, support staff, and students have been preparing for this work for a while now and are excited to catch up! Mr. Lopa will not be available for meetings Thursday evening, but will be available on Friday.
Ms. Feaver has kindly agreed to coach Riverside’s first wrestling team in many years. I am thankful to her for sharing her expertise in this sport with our students. We are all looking forward to watching them compete in the coming weeks!
Pedestrian bridge repair updates
I am expecting our pedestrian bridge to be closed for the week of December 8-12. This closure will allow the completion of all needed repairs and full reopening. We would appreciate volunteers to support student crossing at 1st Avenue before school, at lunch, and after school for that week. If you are available and willing, please email schoolcouncil.riverside@gmail.com. I will share the specific closure dates as soon as I receive them. Thank you in advance!
Noon Supervision fees
Parents and Guardians of Grade 1-6 students should apply for Noon Supervision via SchoolEngage, under the Fees and Waivers app in your myCBE/PowerSchool account. If you require any support with this, please contact our main office via phone or email. Thank you!
2025-26 Yearbook updates
School yearbooks are now available for advance purchase. They are delivered to students in June, but we need to know how many to print, so we sell them early. Upcoming Healthy Hunger fun lunch dates are mentioned at the beginning of this update. The cut-off for ordering is always the Saturday immediately before the lunch date, so there will not be a reminder out prior to the January 8 date.
