Athletics - See updates on our Athletics Page

Today marks the final day of winter this year, with this week also being a transition into a break but also into the ‘home stretch’ of the school year.  Students have been hard at work across all areas – completing academic work before the break, enjoying the pleasant weather, and solving problems during Kid Inventor Day.

Tomorrow’s Activity Day will present them with an opportunity to build connections with each other, with the staff at our school, and to explore new interests.  I am grateful for the support of our School Council and Parent Society in organizing this work and for the efforts of the staff to provide a thoughtful and diverse program.  Please note that I have agreed tomorrow can be a free-dress day for all students.

While the CUPE local that represents our facilities staff is voting on the tentative agreement they recently reached, I do expect that the transition back to fully typical operations will take a little bit of time and not be immediate.  At the moment, from the system level, athletics are currently postponed (including Badminton and Track and Field).  The CBE will share more updates directly with families via email as they come up.

On behalf of all staff at our school, I wish you and your family a restful and restorative Spring Break, wherever it may take you!
